What is Optimal Testing?
Optimal Testing is a secure, web-based application that helps users understand their lab results and related health information by providing optimal (not just "normal") ranges, easy-to-read diagrams, and AI-based interpretations. It is not a replacement for professional medical advice.
Is there a fee to use Optimal Testing?
No. Optimal Testing is free for users.
How do I sign up?
You can sign up directly on the website using your email or by logging in through your healthcare provider if integrated. For providers using Epic's MyChart integration, use the provided access link or code.
Is my access code my user ID?
No. The access code is used only once during initial setup. After that, you will use your chosen username and password.
I declined an account earlier but now want one. How can I request access?
You can re-enroll by visiting our sign-up page or contacting your healthcare provider.
What languages does Optimal Testing support?
Currently, we support English. Additional language support is in development.
Do I need a new account for each provider or hospital?
No. Optimal Testing allows data integration from multiple sources into one account when supported.
What if I have trouble creating an account?
Visit our Help Center or contact support for step-by-step guidance.
Your Medical Record
When will my test results appear?
Test results typically appear within 1–7 days, depending on the lab and provider.
Why are some test results not shown?
Sensitive test results or those requiring provider review may not be released through Optimal Testing.
Why did I stop receiving results by mail?
Once enrolled in Optimal Testing, you may be automatically opted into digital delivery. You can request paper delivery through your provider.
How quickly will I receive replies to messages?
Typically within 1–2 business days. For urgent matters, contact your provider directly or call emergency services.
Can I see provider notes?
Yes, if supported by your provider. You'll find notes under the "Visits" section.
Can others read my notes?
Only if you have explicitly granted them access through proxy settings.
How do I correct errors in my record?
Contact your provider's Health Information Management department.
How do I update personal info or notification settings?
Navigate to Profile > Personal Information or Profile > Communications.
Can I link other health apps?
Yes. We support integration with apps like Apple Health. Instructions are available in your account settings.
Family & Proxy Access
Can I view a family member’s record?
Yes, with permission. Request proxy access through your provider.
Can I message my provider about someone else?
No. MyChart must only be used for your own care. Proxy accounts must be used for others.
Is there an age restriction?
Yes. Users must be 13 or older. Ages 13–17 require guardian consent unless emancipated.
Account & Billing
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Use the "Forgot Password?" link on the login page or contact support.
How can I change my password?
Go to Profile > Security Settings.
Where can I see bills or make payments?
Navigate to Billing > Account Summary to view or pay bills.
How do I dispute a billing error?
Use the Messaging feature to contact billing support.
How do I get a copy of my full medical record?
Go to Health > Document Center > Visit Records > Download.
Can I download and share my health data?
Yes. Go to Health > Share My Record.
What are Balance Billing and Good Faith Estimates?

Technical Questions
Why was I logged out?
For security, you are automatically logged out after inactivity (typically 15 minutes).
What devices are supported?
Any device with a modern browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge) or the Optimal Testing mobile app.
Is the mobile app secure?
Yes. It uses encryption and does not store sensitive data locally.
How do I get help?
Visit our support page or use the Contact form. If integrated with a provider, contact their IT support.
How do I deactivate my account?
Contact support to deactivate. Your data will be retained per legal and care requirements.
Data Sharing & External Records
What is Share Everywhere?
It allows you to temporarily share your health data with other providers using a secure, one-time access code.
What is Happy Together?
A feature that displays data from connected health systems using Epic in one place.
Can I link other health records?
Yes. Go to Settings > Manage My Accounts and follow prompts to link accounts.
